Start the revolution among those whom you serve. And. Keep. Going.
Every participant in the Orality Revolution must be a storying practitioner. They must be making disciples who can multiply themselves. Ideally, they lead their own church to multiply themselves among the lost.
The leader or leaders that you know must do the best they can by the power of the Holy Spirit to keep responding, growing, and improving (Eccl. 9:10). We cannot and must not coerce or use force to bring about the Orality Revolution. Instead, we must motivate through message that is clear, frequent, and accurate.
We must shout with excitement at what God is doing! And not our puny human efforts.
Through the full armor of God in Ephesians 6, we are expected to attack, defend, stand, and pray in perseverance. And with this spiritual posture, the revolutionaries must never surrender to the status quo because it’s not working.
Those engaged in literate worldview evangelism and discipleship efforts may put a fancy spin or outspend us with stylish materials. However, our cause is from the Bible. It is not financially-driven. Set-backs will happen and can be expected along the way. Revolutionaries know that disciples who are making disciples is a higher cause and will not stop no matter the temporal circumstances, recognizing distractions as detrimental to progress. Analysis paralysis can inhibit actions or cause tentative steps causing a downfall or step back.
Align with how God is at work. Join Him to initiate action steps, but the first is to start. Begin the revolution where you serve by taking intentional steps. Commit to make disciple-makers. Pray. Equip. Have faith as you keep going no matter what because our cause is at the heart of God’s will to reconnect with a lost world in need of a Savior.
